In observance of Dylan Rieder's passing in 2016, we've compiled Rieder's footage going all the way back to his Osiris days. Our original intent was to present a complete view of his output, tracking his evolution and growth. But we're sure that there are quite a few blind spots in the below filmography; Rieder was prolific so gaps are unavoidable. We'll have to accept an incomplete filmography as the legacy of a man who always left you wanting more. These nineteen videos are listed chronologically, but we urge you to view his (nearly) complete filmography in any order—Rieder's skating is timeless.
skate rieder"This is one of Barcelona's most iconic skate spots. As most of you know, in Barcelona you don't drive. You skate from spot to spot and utilize the accessibility of public transportation. As we passed this narrow kicker, Madars blasted an insane ollie out of it. I was in disbelief when I saw the way he did it. I shot two frames with no flashes, just to see where I was going to put all of my strobes. Then I proceeded to shoot this ollie with flashes. When I got home I assumed the frame with the flashes was my only option. A few weeks later I was going through all of my photos and scrolled past this one in disbelief. How did I not see this the first time around? The look on the man's face says it all." -- Jake Darwen
